Are you passionate about politics and the world of planning? We’re looking for an engaged, intelligent and politically astute individual to join us to lead our successful London planning communications practice.
Our new London lead will be able to devise and deliver political and community engagement strategies and be comfortable working with the media. They will be a proactive person able to lead the team and find and win new business.

Operating for more than a decade, Cratus teams operate from coast to coast on projects which range from reviewing council services to supporting developers with planning applications and building communities.
Our London planning communications team has the benefit of our network of established clients and contacts, as well as the support of our Non-Executive team and Associates who can bring a huge range of experience to bear.

On any given day, you will be running a host of projects, managing the team and driving business development. You will be engaging with clients, politicians, residents and community groups – and you will need to be able to build effective relationships at every level, providing superb service at all times.
You must be well-organised, comfortable working with others and have the ability to think fast and deliver high quality advice. You will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of all project work for clients in the London region, whether it is being delivered by your direct reports, or one of our non-executives or associates.
More than a third of your time will be spent on developing your network, finding new business leads and organising / holding client events with our Business Development Director and events team.
You will be adept at managing workloads and prioritising tasks, putting together and delivering the communication and engagement strategies and ensuring your team is operating to its potential. As the team grows, you will be responsible for recruiting new team members, as well as building the profile of Cratus London.

Because you will be working with politicians and the community, you will need to be prepared to work some evenings and weekends, but we can offer flexible working in return and make sure we get together regularly as a team to celebrate our successes.
