Strategic public affairs support for organisations working around Local Government in England
Direct advisory for local authority Leaders and Chief Executives
Political and community engagement at a local level for housebuilders and the wider development sector
Due to expansion and the rollout of new services and offices we are now looking to recruit against a number of roles within the team
The first of these is:
Executive Assistant to Chief Executive & Management Team
Operating at the heart of the organisation, the successful candidate will be responsible for proactively managing our chief executive’s commitments and important external relationships, have the skills and personality to support a small board plus take ownership of our signature external event programme across the year.
3-5 years’ experience of working at Executive Assistant level with senior management teams, ideally at Board level
Excellent event management, verbal and written communication skills with a good eye for detail
Ability to work autonomously and across multiple tasks, reporting into different staff members
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across the company and with external clients and contacts
Proactive approach, with a high degree of personal organisation and self management
Ability to be flexible in adapting to change
Experience of working within a smaller team preferred
Diary management – proactive ownership of Chief Executive’s diary, organising meetings, planning and making travel arrangements.
Diary support – wider senior management team
Events – working with Business Development, arranging client events at MIPIM, LGA Annual Conference and other major gatherings – invitations, liaising with guests and venues, monitoring budgets
Board support – scheduling meetings, support as required with reports, prepare & circulate meeting agendas, taking minutes, following up on actions
Admin support – expense claims, team meetings, managing supplies, IT
Special projects – managing ad hoc projects and following up with team members as required
People and Culture – HR/process support to Managing Director plus chief instigator of both formal and informal staff gatherings and events
Salary package based on experience, from £35-40k p.a. plus benefits such as private health insurance.
Prior to lockdown this would have been a London based role with scope around flexible working. In the current context our entire team is working from home; post lockdown we envisage all roles, including this one, to operate partly from home and partly from a Central London hub.
