A qualified journalist, Jo has spent the last 15 years specialising in stakeholder engagement, planning communications and corporate PR. She has worked with developers and communities on numerous controversial planning applications for large scale renewable energy as well as commercial and housing development.
Jo prides herself on getting involved in every aspect of stakeholder engagement and immersing herself in each project she carries out. From meeting MPs in Westminster to parish councillors and local groups in rural village halls, she is passionate about ensuring open and honest dialogue between communities, local authorities and central government where appropriate.
Jo has lived in the Westcountry for most of her life and is passionate about Localism. Her forays into communications in Africa and Europe have also given her experience an international flavour. She has created and delivered many successful corporate PR strategies, raising the profile of international developers and membership associations within relevant industries and their audiences, including launching new brands and lobbying government for policy changes.
A creative, strategic thinker, Jo enjoys finding innovative approaches to her work and thinking laterally to solve the issues that inevitably arise around the development process.
