As a professional account director since 2014, Mark has helped achieve committee success on a range of planning applications across the country. He is keen to help Londoners who are demanding more and better housing, and brings an understanding of how leading politicians respond in different ways to the opportunities and threats of new developments.
Mark has been a councillor since 2002, including twelve years as a cabinet member and five as deputy leader. Having also previously spent more than a decade as a political advisor to Labour MPs he appreciates the demands on politicians.
Although no two councils are the same, he is sensitive to the hopes and aspirations of local representatives and seeks to discover how they feel about the communities they represent in order to achieve the best chance of success.
Away from politics, he is a season ticket holder at QPR and enjoys visiting the Man at Seat 61 website to dream of scenic train journeys.
