Business Breakfast with Sir Albert Bore – Leader of Birmingham City Council

Cratus hosts Sir Albert Bore, Leader of Birmingham City Council

Cratus hosted our latest breakfast meeting for a select audience that included developers, planning consultants and lawyers with the Leader of Birmingham City Council, Sir Albert Bore on Thursday 28th February 2013.

The meeting was held under the Chatham House rule with attendees learning more about Sir Albert’s vision for the future of Birmingham, which was especially interesting given the financial pressures that local authorities are now under.

It was informative both for the group and the speaker to learn about difficulties faced by developers and how this impacted on infrastructure programmes and economic development.

Our thanks go to Sir Albert Bore for his time and to those who attended.

Sir Albert Bore, Leader of Birmingham City Council, said:

“We are without doubt all in the midst of challenging financial times and local government itself is certainly entering a new era of change. And though this presents its own difficulties it also brings with it opportunity, particularly to work with partners and stakeholders in a more collaborative way. Which is why I welcome the platform provided by Cratus Communications, not only to share my the vision for Birmingham with leading developers, house builders, planners and major manufacturers but also to engage fully with that audience, building on their experiences and skills, to develop that vision, drive the city forward and create an engine for growth.”
