Eden House Redevelopment

Last night, 11th September 2013, the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames’ Development Control Committee voted to approve our client’s scheme for Eden House, Eden Street. The proposal sought permission for demolition of the existing building and the redevelopment of the site, which will provide retail use on the ground and first floor with 30 residential units above.

Mary Graham who directed the project says:

This was a great decision for Kingston, the new building, which will compliment the approved scheme for Primark next door, will greatly improve the street scene in Eden Street whilst also providing new homes. Members complimented the design changes from the deferred scheme, especially the use of darker brick which gives the corner much stronger definition. It was a pleasure to work with a client who worked so swiftly to return to members with a building which fulfilled their aspirations for this important site.
