One Night (and a very hazy following morning) in Bournemouth – One Year On

Last summer Cratus hosted the first LGBTQ+ 80s disco during Pride month at the LGA Annual Conference in Bournemouth. 

It was, without doubt, the biggest and most fun event we have ever organised for our beloved local government ‘family’.

Those who joined us still recall Chris Naylor’s marathon performance on the ‘wheels of steel’ as he took a packed and suitably fabulous dance floor on a journey through his favourite musical decade. 

Over 400 people joined Cratus and Chris that night and this year in Harrogate was going to be even bigger. Venues were booked, costumes were planned and we even had a headline sponsor! 

Then COVID-19 reared it’s unwelcome head and the world changed for us all. 

Undeterred, to mark the night we should have all been in Harrogate for this year’s disco, team Cratus is delighted to announce our commitment, subject to all safety considerations,  to run the event at next year’s LGA Annual in Liverpool.
